Job Summary: Timely delivery of inventory supplies and special orders to all hospital departments to assure the availability of all material as it is needed for quality patient care and the efficient functioning of the department. Facilitate the accurate recording of charges and expenses. Job Qualifications:Education - High school graduate or equivalent.Experience - Minimum three (3) months experience preferred.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Well organized; ability to work in a team environment; basic math, computer, and internet skills; drive pick-up truck and cargo van.Physical Requirements - Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs Licenses/Certifications - Current New York State Driver's License is required, and authorization to obtain NYS Department of Motor Vehicles Driving Record abstract. Essential Functions:-Maintain the condition of the stock areas on the nursing units. Daily to include, dusting, straightening, pick up trash. Annually or more often as needed to include removal of stock and washing of shelves.-Rotate stock on nursing units, check for out dates and notify buyer of short dating.-Fills and delivers stock requisitions, special requests for assigned departments (and other departments when receiver is off).-Delivers other packages to departments as per instructions on address labels or by staff. Delivers Next Day Air shipments immediately, especially frozen/refrigerated items. Includes delivery within the hospital and to FoxCare Center, Southside Family Practice, Adult Day Center and affiliated doctors' offices.-Reports stock outs, expired products and other inventory related issues to the Buyer.-Fills and delivers exchange carts to the OR, ASU, PACU, Anesthesia and maintains them.-Assists in maintaining daily and periodic inventories.-Maintains Stock Room. (cleaning, unpacking, organizing, etc)-Performs related clerical duties.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
