Position
Summary:
This individual will assist in the day to day administration of the residence, exercising considerable independent judgment and initiative.
Principle Duties and
Responsibilities:

The Assistant House Manager will supervise, train and evaluate staff members in conjunction with the Residence Manager.
Possess a thorough knowledge of Springbrook's disciplinary process and will implement this process in conjunction with the Residence Manager.
Coordinate the activities on their shift and the efforts of staff members. This individual will also ensure that all tasks scheduled for each shift are accomplished along with supporting documentation. Included in these tasks are supervising staff assignments, supervising the implementation of meal time plans, recreational planning, ADL skills, supervision of residential finances, implementation of individualized service plans, skill development and implementation, as well as the proper implementation and documentation of behavior plans.
The Assistant House Manager will also supervise staff members in the organization of household materials, routines and activities.
Facilitate and coordinate the use of shift reports and will ensure that all required documentation is completed on a daily basis. This documentation consists of comment notes, medical notes, daily living data sheets, RIA data forms, behavior logs, reward charts, parent contact logs, medication administration records and medication information sheets.
Act as a focal point for parent communication and will interact professionally and respectfully with all parents. In cases where a question would best be answered by medical professionals, this individual will refer the parent to the appropriate party.
Act as a resource for staff members and will possess a comprehensive knowledge of Part 633 and Part 624 regulations using this knowledge to guide staff members as questions arise and to classify and document incidents appropriately.
In conjunction with the Residence Manager, will complete the monthly behavior plan reviews for each student in the residence.
When necessary, the assistant manager will attend meetings with other departments or outside agencies along with the Residence Manager or in the Residence Manager's place.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required; Associates degree preferred.
Three (3) years' experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
Minimum of one (1) year's supervisory experience required.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software and e-mail applications, especially Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word; have the aptitude to learn other computer software as necessary.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. independently and assist in lifting weights exceeding 50 lbs.
Meet the requirements to drive Springbrook vehicles as required.
Be able to perform all physical interventions.
